Overview
corDECT is a Fixed wireless access solution ideal for Wireless in Local Loop deployments in locations without copper. It supports toll quality voice and dedicated data services (up to 70kbps) while enabling a range of value-added services. The system is designed to grow with the service provider while enabling significant upsell capabilities such as kiosks/cyber cafes or unified billing while limiting the total infrastructure needs.
With corDECT, subscribers can be located up to a 10 km line-of-sight distance from a Base Station (CBS). Base Station Distributors and Relay Base Stations can extend this range significantly, enabling a service provider to serve pockets of subscribers in disparate regions using the same infrastructure. |
corDECT has been deployed in over 25 countries around the world in a wide variety of environmental conditions. Service providers typically deploy corDECT networks along with integrated billing and network management systems, an Interactive Voice-response (IVR) system to handle pre-paid and post-paid subscriber needs and facilities to setup cyber-cafes / kiosks that provide Video conferencing, remote medicine and distance education.
corDECT has a comprehensive EMS and Performance Analysis Tool (corPAT) that enables a service provider to manage capacity on Base Stations as well as be able to handle rapid disaster recovery.
