DIU
The Dect Interface Unit (DIU) is the main switching element in the corDECT system. It has a capacity of 1000 subscribers and can be linked to multiple DIUs for larger capacity. Each DIU supports up to 20 base stations (both directly as well as through Base Station Distributors). A DIU can be interfaced with the PSTN as an access node via V5.2. It also supports local switching capabilities when configured with R2 or SS7. Internet connectivity is provided via an E1 data interface. |
