corVAN is the Base Station Controller (BSC) for the BroadbandcorDECT Fixed Wireless Access system which provides Toll-Quality Voice and 512 kbps Data Service. One corVAN supports 80 Base Stations and can handle 5000 subscribers. corVAN interconnects the Base Station and the backbone network.
- corVAN interfaces with the Base Stations, directly using xDSL links or through a Base Station Distributor using E1 links
- It interfaces with the internet backbone network to provide data service using Copper or Fibre GigE/FE links
- It interfaces with the Parent Exchange to provide Voice service using E1 links running V5.2, SS7, R2MF protocols
